Bagaman mahirap kapag nagkakaedad, okay na rin dahil may inaasahan naman ako na pension sa SSS.
Malaking tulong po sa akin ang nakukuha ko na pension lalo’t hindi na regular ang pagpapasada ko ng jeep. Mabuti na lamang at wala pa akong maintenance na gamot na iniinom. Gusto ko lang po sana na itanong sa SSS kung qualified na po ako sa lump sum. Ilang buwan po ba ang pwedeng makuha sa pension ko? Tanong ko rin po ang mga requirements na kinakailangan. Sana ay matulungan at masagot ng SSS ang aking katanungan.

This refers to Mr. Ely Bedes’ inquiry on his retirement benefit. In this regard, please be informed po that he is not yet qualified to apply because of the following reasons:
He has a total of 122 contributions, last posted payment is August 2020. By the time that he retire on August 2020, he is not yet allowed to file considering that he just completed his 120th month. We have a standing rule that if a member has just completed his 120th month, he can only file his retirement after a semester or after six months.
He has posted contributions prior to his date of coverage, his date of coverage with SSS is June 2010 but per posted contributions, he already has contributions in March 2007; this should be corrected first.
Also, based on records he has a total balance of P11,071.91 to be deducted from his retirement benefit/proceeds.
Supporting documents needed in the application is the SSS Retirement Benefit application, Single Savings Account, Certificate of Separation from last employer, 1 x 1 ID, PSA Copy of Birth Certificate. If with dependent children, PSA copy of their birth certificates and PSA copy of their marriage contract. Forms are downloadable at our website, www.sss.gov.ph. Is this going to be used in your column po, if so, you can incorporate this po but not indicating my name. Instead, kay Mr. Fernando F. Nicolas, Department Manager III/Concurrent Acting Head, Public Affairs and Special Events Division, SSS.
