Pagtanggal sa online, call request sa PSA documents kinuwestyon

PINAGPAPALIWANAG ng mga kongresista ang Philippine Statistics Authority sa ginawa nitong pagtanggal nito sa PSAHelpline, na tinatawagan ng publiko upang makahingi ng authenticated birth certificate, marriage certificate, death certificate at certificate of no marriage.

Sinabi ni House Deputy Speaker Johnny Pimentel na kung hindi siya makukontento sa paliwanag nina National Statistician at PSA head Dr. Dennis Mapa ay paiimbestigahan niya ito sa Kamara de Representantes.

“I think that is not right. They are depriving ordinary citizens of good basic service from the national government. This is contrary to pronouncements of President Duterte that all government agencies should provide fast and efficient service to Filipinos and cut the red tape,” ani Pimentel.

Bukod sa pa-apply online, maaari ring tawagan ang PSAHelpline upang makakuha ng dokumento.

Dapat din umanong tingnan ang sinasabing monopolyo sa online request ng PSA na resulta ng pag-alis sa PSAHelpline, ayon kay House Assistant Majority Leader Precious Hipolito Castelo.

“We must get to the bottom of it why a tested, efficient and corruption-free practice shall be shelved…. It was reported before that NSO application has been a source of graft from brokers, peddlers and solicitors,” ani Castelo.

Sinabi naman ni Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor na ang dapat gawin ng PSA ay pagandahin ang serbisyo nito.

Ganito rin ang sinabi ni PBA Rep. Koko Nograles. “I am awaiting the PSA’s explanation on how they intend to match or provide better service and convenience to the public. Otherwise, if they just stopped without thinking about the hassle to the public, then that is definitely a disservice to the public.”

Noong Enero 4 ay inalis ng PSA ang PSAHelpline at ang naiwan na lamang ay ang PSASerbilis. May 10 taon nang magkasabay na nago-operate ang dalawa bago inalis ang PSAHelpline.
