“In the light of these reports that there are thousands of our kababayans who are now stranded in various seaports, I am urging PPA and the MARINA to go the extra mile and extend all the assistance that they may need. Let us do everything possible to make them feel the spirit of Christmas despite their unfortunate circumstances,” ani Ong.
“This will be a very lonely, lonely Christmas for these people. This is the time that they need to feel the presence of our government. Although the cancellation of their trips was caused by force majeure, the government should remain responsible for the comfort and well-being of the stranded passengers,” dagdag pa ni Ong.
