“BONO is a victim of fake news.”
That was Mocha Something’s rant against U2’s Bono after the Irish singer paid tribute to a slew of Pinays who made a difference by dedicating the song “Ultra Violet (Light My Way)” to them.
Bono honored Rappler CEO Maria Ressa, former President Corazon Aquino, Tony awardee Lea Salonga and Filipina revolutionary Melchora Aquino in the concert.
“When journalists don’t have to worry about what they write, that’s a beautiful day. … When women of the world unite to rewrite history as herstory, that’s a beautiful day,” say ni Bono.
It also appears na hindi siya kilala ng famous singer known for his patronage of women with substance.
“MOCHA I-APPLY MO RIN ANG KRITISISMO AGAINST SA GOBYERNONG SINUSUPORTAHAN MO WAG PAG DI SANG AYON SA PINANINIWALAAN MO FAKE NEWS AGAD EH IKAW NGA REYNA NG FAKENEWS,” said one basher.
