‘Gets na namin ni Tito Butch Francisco ang ugali ng isa’t-isa’

HULI man daw at magaling ay naihahabol pa rin.

It would seem totally unfriendly of us kung hindi namin maihahabol ang aming belated birthday greeting kay Butch Francisco who turned a year older yet wiser nitong Dec. 9.

Kung ilang taon na ang kung tawagin nami’y si Tito Butch, that we don’t know. He never tells us, and that makes him less friendly to us in a way.

We hardly mind though. Kahit naman si Kuya Boy Abunda deems his biological age as classified info. And this doesn’t make us love both of them less.

Ang pagkawala sa ere ng Startalk (October, 2015, to be exact) ay hindi nagsilbing kawalan namin ng komunikasyon ni Butch. The irony is that, our communication lines are more open noong mawala na ang programang pinagsamahan namin nang napakatagal ding panahon.

Our phone convos would meander on just as anything: from the walang kawawaan to the may katuturan (or anywhere in between) as though we’re physically across each other.

Isa lang ang kulang: that is, ang meron kaming pagtalunan o pag-awayan that could lead to a friendship crumbling or completely destroyed.

Marahil, it’s the mutual acceptance of each other’s flaws which may seem difficult to acknowledge. Pero sakay na namin ni Tito Butch ang isa’t isa without having to pass judgment.
Born with different, if not contrasting backgrounds, tanggap ako ni Tito Butch as much as I embrace his humanity.

Totoong a Butch Francisco is often a misunderstood showbiz person. And I can relate to him. He’s no stereotype. He is not what others expect him to be, he does his thing and it’s all that matters as long as he causes no harm.

Kumbaga sa pagkain, if it tastes like adobo, it must be adobo. No other food comes close to it.

Butch defies the popular wackadoodle na mas mag-ingat ka sa taong kilala mo na. A total departure from the scurrilous, pa-virtuous at self-righteous na mga taong naglipana sa showbiz.
