Jasmine Curtis-Smith called the attention of a never-heard singer who posted a short video of himself while singing.
The aspiring rapper was singing a song that he probably composed. Astig na sana ang song kaya lang may discriminatory element ito as it tells about a guy’s experience sa pakikipagsayaw sa isang transgender.
“Anong problema mo sa mga magagandang may lawit? Ikaw ata may mali. Mag 2020 na soon, tigilan na yang pagkakitid ng utak pls. Report this BS,” tweet ni Jasmine.
Many of her followers agreed.
“luv u po. mass report na natin ‘yan. may pa-apology keme pa pero hindi rin naman dinelete ‘yung vid (for the clout eh) hays.”
“Reported na pati account nya. Let’s all drag him down.”
But one netizen told Jasmine, “Hindi po kasi lahat pumapatol sa ganun. just sayin.”
“Patol? What a word choice. Kung hindi mo type ang trans then wag mo pansinin, politely decline and move on. Di naman kaylangan gumawa ng song to make them feel like MALI sila for being who they have chosen to be,” came Jasmine’s reply.
Actually, nag-apologize na ang male singer, “My recent video drew a lot of attention recently for both the right and wrong reasons. I want to apologize to anyone I have offended with my lyrics for the video.
“At the time, it seemed like a small thing to mention but I have recently found out how much my words can personally affect other people. For this, I am sorry,” came the singer’s apology.
But that, to netizens, is insincere. Kasi naman, if he is sincere enough, he should have deleted his video. But no, naka-upload pa rin ang kanyang controversial video kaya naman maraming netizens ang pumalag.
“Oh eh bat ayaw mo i-delete? Enjoying 15 seconds of fame?”
“Kuya ayan 1 day ago na bago ako nag comment at makisali? Pero bakit ganon di mo parin binubura yung video? Ikaw na nagsabi nag so sorry ka para doon sa mga na offend mo pero please lang sana ipakita mo din na TOTOONG NAG SOSORRY KA bye simply deleting that video.”
“I want to apologize for what i did* tang i***a mo ba? Nakakaoffend talaga yung sinabi mo. small thing to mention? are you that stupid? ang dami-daming pwedeng isulat sa papel at kantahin pero napili mong gaguhin ang mga trans? Basura ka, sana hindi ka umangat sa industriya.”
