Admittedly, marami nang pinagdaanan si Shaina Magdayao in her young life.
May particular experience ba siya na hino-haunt pa rin siya until now at paano niya na-overcome ‘yun?
That was the question asked about her during the presscon of The Haunted, a weekend series to start airing Dec. 8. Kasama niya rito sina Denise Laurel and Jake Cuenca.
“Maybe when I was younger marami kasi doon ka pa lang nagkakamali. Merong mga sana ginawa ko ito, sana ganito ang ginawa ko sa tao, or maybe mas pinatawad ko agad. But then, through the years natutunan ko to live without regrets kasi nga nagkaroon nga ng time sa buhay ko na nag-regret ako.
“Now, I can sleep well at night at masasabi ko na wala nang nagha-haunt sa akin ngayon,” she explained.
“I think at one point, lahat naman tayo ay nadadapa, nasasaktan and kapag first time mong pinagdaanan ang isang bagay ay hindi mo alam kung kaya mo pang tumayo, kung kaya mo pang bumawi or kaya mo pang lumaban. But I guess matututunan mo na may bukas pa and it’s never too late to fight and to learn again,” she added.

Actor Vance Larena is still on his lucky streak.
Before the year ends, his latest project, “Dead Kids”, a thriller film directed by Mikhail Red, was screened on Netflix.
Markado ang role ni Vance sa nasabing show and reviews of his performance were very positive.
“And yet another breakthrough performance is by Vance Larena who plays Blanco, son of a policeman under Chuck’s dad’s payroll. He masterminds the ‘operation’ and his character carries the depth and social relevance of the film.
“He brings an effortless fervor to his character but also gives it a vulnerability at the payoff in the end. Here’s another up and coming actor to look out for,” one reviewer said.
“But the real standouts here are Vance Larena as Blanco and Gabby Padilla as Yssa. Padilla is effortless as the rich kid Yssa, creating layers upon layers in her performance that you can’t take your eyes off of her.
“Whereas Padilla’s performance is an exercise in building walls that hint at something deeper, Larena’s performance is the opposite; it’s about a character who is turning inside-out.
“Larena’s Blanco is unraveling in the most interesting of ways. It’s raw, uncontrolled emotion and it really drives the point across,” another reviewer said.
Will 2020 bring another luck to Vance? We hope it does!
