INIHAYAG na ni CineFilipino Film Festival Competition Head Jose Javier Reyes ang mga pelikulang maswerteng nakapasok sa nakaraang mediacon ng nasabing festival.
Ayon kay direk Joey, “We’re looking forward to all the works of art our finalist are bringing to this year’s CineFilipino Film Festival. We believe we’ve chosen the best of both professional and aspiring Filipino filmmakers in the end, it’s not just about good stories, but also about storytellers.”
“We may find the next great Filipino filmmaker, as well as the next great Filipino film, in the festival. CineFilipino supports the celebration of 100 years of Philippine Cinema, and we’re always on the look out for exceptional talent that can help drive the artand industry in the present and future,” say naman ng festival director na si Madonna Tarrayo.
Narito ang walong pelikulang napili para sa Feature Length film mula sa 100 entries na sumali: “27 EXP” ni Jopy Arnaldo; “Cargo” directed by Charlson Ong and Angelo Lacuesta; “Homecoming” ni Sue Aspiras; Christopher Gozum’s “Ilikdem Mo So Matam”; Steven Paul Evangelio’s “Maya-maya Paparito Na”; “Olsen’s Day” ni JP Habac; “Ouroboros” ni Rob Jara; at ang “The Boy Foretold by the Stars” ni Dolly Dulu.
Para sa Shorts Category naman pasok ang: “7-Year Itch” ni Dolly Dulu; “Alex & Aki” ni Dexter Paul de Jesus; “Ang Alamat ng Sari-Saring Sari Store” ni Claudia Fernando; “Ang’gulo (Unclear)” ni Zsarina Lacumba; “Delta” nina Eluigi Macalintal at James Garcia; “Kita (nalng) Duha” nina Lorys Plaza at James Hermoso; “Memento Mori” ni Noel Tonga, Jr.; “Tayo (Stand Up)” nina Ronald Dulatre at Elaiza Rivera; at “Quing Lalam Ning Aldo (Under the Sun)” ni Reeden Fajardo.
