MARAHIL, if Seiko Films—as it was noong kasagsagan ng so-called ST (sex trip), and much later Titillating Films in the 90s up to 2000—ay walang ligtas si Nadine Lustre from its producer Robbie Tan’s tempting offer to bare flesh under name-your-price conditions.

Those years saw—in no particular order—the likes of Gretchen Barretto na ni-repackage ng Seiko from a so-so contract star that she was under Regal Films, Cristina “Kring Kring” Gonzales, Rina Reyes and Rosanna Roces, all hailed as the Sex Goddesses on equal footing.

Of course, kumbaga sa kaharian ay meron ding mas mababa ang ranggo kesa sa kanilang tatlo, the likes of Izza Ignacio, Piel Morena, to name a few, whose forgettable movies should not have been produced at all.

One thing’s common sa kanilang lahat: while all possessed bodies which pleasure-seeking men would die for, none of them could be called a real actress base sa tunay na kahulugan nito. Si Osang, puwede pa, but she was no longer a Seiko jewel when people began to notice she could do more than just baring her flesh.

Sa makabagong panahong tumiklop na sa negosyo ng pagpoprodyus ng pelikula ang Seiko Films at nawala na rin sa uso ang ST o Titillating Films, Nadine seems to reawaken our consciousness.

Sa kanyang espesyal na photo shoot marking her birthday, kulang na lang ay naka-birthday suit siya.

Talagang may pa-side boob at pa-butt pa. Very reminiscent of Seiko’s publicity photos at the peak of its exploitative sex flicks.

Ang kaibahan nga lang, Nadine is a cut above the rest being an Urian best actress awardee that none of her predecessors ever was.

Donning such an image, napaglipasan na ni Nadine ang mga role na ibinibigay pa rin sa kanyang mga kakontemporaryo over at ABS-CBN.

Level up na siya kung paanong her rivals have yet to come out of their nutshell, willfully choosing to be imprisoned in saccharine roles way past their age.
