ITINANGGI ni Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Oscar Albayalde na nagbitiw na siya sa puwesto matapos namang kumalat ito sa social media.
“I leave my fate to the decision of the President,” sabi ni Albayalde sa isang pahayag.
Idinagdag ni Albayalde na handa naman niyang ibigay ang kanyang katungkulan sakaling magdesisyon si Duterte.
Kasabay niyo, kinuwestiyon ni Albayalde ang timing ng mga alegasyon laban sa kanya.
“I question the timing of this attack and smear campaign against me. Until now, despite the Senate hearings conducted, no hard evidence was ever presented showing that I was involved in that drug raid in Pampanga in 2013. All statements made remain allegations, insinuations, and unsubstantiated,” giit ni Albayalde.
Kasabay nito, nangako si Albayalde na kakasuhan si dating PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group deputy chief of operations Rudy Lacadin matapos ang kanyang mga alegasyon.
“Lacadin has a lot of explaining to do and he will have his day in court,” ayon pa kay Albayalde.
“All those police officials ganging up on me have ill motives against me and obviously all worked with the previous administration,” giit ni Albayalde.
