Bakit binansagang ‘Captain Toothpick’ ng netizens si Robin?
TALAGANG hahanap at hahanap ng paraan ang ilang maimahinasyong netizens to get back at certain personalities na puwede nilang paglaruan through posting memes.
Natisod namin sa Facebook ang mga larawan ni Robin Padilla in military uniform na may ranggong reserve officer. Pinned on his chest ay nameplate na “Padilla.”
Pero binansagan naman siyang “Captain Toothpick.”
Whatever that means, hindi ‘yon flattering. Sa tinagal-tagal ni Robin sa showbiz, wala kaming naaalalang tinawag siyang toothpick kahit pabiro lang.
Sa palasak na paggamit, it can only mean payat or reed-thin which Robin is not dahil sa matipuno niyang pangangatawan. But if he were a rebel soldier taking refuge in the mountains, puwede pa siguro siyang tawaging Kumander Toothpick.
Pero imposibleng Robin would rebel against the government, hindi laban sa kasalukuyang administration which he so passionately defends against its critics.
But we also doubt Robin’s makings of a dutiful soldier who’s out there standing up for national sovereignty.
Sa kanya na rin nanggaling na kung sino ang matapang ay siyang sumugod sa China and start a war?
Nag-rub in rin kasi kay Robin ang posisyon ng gobyerno in dealing with the affairs where China is involved.
Habang pinapalagan at kinakastigo ng mga makabayan nating kababayan ang bawat kilos ng Tsina, Robin chooses not to drop a word.
Or baka naman, “toothpick” is taken to mean something that obstructs his mouth from saying anything.
