BUMABA ang inflation rate ng bansa ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority.
Mula sa 2.4 porsyento noong Hulyo, bumaba ang laki ng pagtaas ng mga presyo ng bilihin sa 1.7 porsyento, ang pinakamababang naitala ngayong taon. Ang pinakamataas ay 4.4 porsyento na naitala noong Enero.
“The slowdown on inflation in August 2019 was mainly due to the slower annual increase in the index of the heavily-weighted food and non-alcoholic beverages,” saad ng PSA. “The transport index, which dropped by 0.2 percent, also contributed to the downtrend of inflation this month.”
Ito na ang pinakamababang inflation rate na naitala mula noong Oktobre 2016. Noong Agosto 2018 ang inflation rate ay 6.4 porsyento.
Sa Metro Manila ang inflation rate ay 1.4 porsyento mas mababa sa 2.3 porsyento noong Hulyo.
Sa labas naman ng Metro Manila ang average inflation rate ay 1.8 porsyento, mas mababa sa 2.4 porsyento noong Hulyo.
