Ion Perez ikinahihiya nga ba ang relasyon kay Vice kaya ayaw aminin ang relasyon?

VICE GANDA AT ION PEREZ

WE wish we knew the reason kung bakit biglang-bigla ay nag-“shift” ng ibang tono si Ion Perez when asked about his relationship with Vice Ganda at a recent mediacon.

Event ‘yon in connection with a project kung saan kabilang ang ngayo’y celebrity na rin, thanks to his instant fame as Kuya Escort at pagkakadikit niya sa gay TV host-comedian.

Ang inaasahang pag-amin na sana ni Ion tungkol sa tunay nilang relasyon ni Vice Ganda left more questions than answers, gayong what’s there pa ba to admit in public when the obvious won’t lie to itself?

Nahiya lang ba si Ion na amining there’s more to friendship? But why, eh, ang dami-dami nga nilang pinakikilig by their mere sweet, “meaningless” nothings, ‘yun pa kayang public confession?

Or do we see a case here similar to Ai Ai delas Alas’ bago siya nagdesisyong layasan ang ABS-CBN?

Where anyone’s lovelife kasi is concerned—lalo pa’t hindi naman kasama sa pelikula o project ang dyowa mo—then it doesn’t seem proper if ne-cessary to drag him.

It’s been more than four years since Ai Ai left ABS-CBN. At isa sa mga dahilan ng kanyang pagka-bad trip sa dating tahanan was putting the blame on her kung bakit floppey ang pelikulang “Past Tense” where she did support para sa mga bida nito.

Kasagsagan ‘yon ng abot-langit na kaligayahan ni Ai Ai for having a boyfriend many years her junior na si Gerald Sibayan. At sa halip na mas bumida ang mga talaga namang bida sa pelikula, the publicity thrust more heavily focused on Ai Ai plus her dyowa who wasn’t part of the movie at all.

Knowing Star Cinema’s blockbuster standards, small fi-gures even by the millions don’t amount to something lalo’t taliwas ‘yon sa kanilang earlier expectations of a movie.

Whoever is behind Ion’s project ay malamang talked him out of this. Malamang na ang ‘di niya pag-amin ng tungkol sa kanila ni Vice Ganda (except for the showbiz’s safest ‘we’re just friends’ answer) is yet another application of the principle sa kaso ni Ai Ai noon.

But lest we forget, hindi celebrity si Gerald noon unlike Ion who is one in his own right now. Kung netizens’ comments ang gagawing sukatan, the more Ion will fondly talk about Vice (to the point na walang hiya-hiya na niyang aamining yes, ‘we’re a couple’) might even do his project good.

Sa flat denial ni Ion, for sure, Vice Ganda took it well. Sila na ang nagkakaintindihan du’n. I love yous and other amorous expressions are best made and most savored in private.
