OF late, batikos left and right ang inani ni Julia Barretto for making a statement against Bea Alonzo.
She, being the perceived third party sa Bea Alonzo-Gerald Anderson break-up was mocked, bullied even, by netizens who seemingly felt that what she did was a very huge mistake. For one, they are saying that she wasn’t named in Bea’s rant against cheating.
Some said naman na she had it coming. Was Julia ill-advised by coming out with an anti-Bea aria?
Well, it depends on who are you siding with. If you’re a Julia believer, tama lang ang kanyang ginawa. It will not be a mistake to speak up, to defend oneself – even if you’re not named.
Any war, whether physical or verbal, will always be painful. When one is hurt and would want to follow the Golden Rule, nobody should not stop him or her.
And if you’re pro-Bea, you’d think that Julia was wrong in calling her fellow Kapamilya actress a bully. For one, she did not name her. Two, not a negative word was hurled against her.
Yes, I believe that Julia was right in defending herself. What she was wrong was the timing. She could have mouthed her piece the day after she was wittingly or unwittingly dragged on the break-up issue.
Two, she was wrong in saying that Bea bullied her. How can someone bully anyone who has not been named and who has not hurled a single nasty word against her?
Three, she should have reacted being romantically linked to Gerald. Whether they’re on dating stage or mag-on na, she should have clear up that issue. Pronto! At whatever cost!!!
One guy, Ogie Rosa also came with a beautiful hugot line about the issue as he said, “Si Gerald Anderson parang Spratly Island, pinag-aagawan. Ang maganda lang kay Bea, nagsasalita. Samantalang ang Pilipinas, tameme sa Tsina.”
Da hu si Ogie Rosa? Well, he’s just a Palanca Award-winning writer and humanitarian activist.
Tuwang-tuwa ang isa niyang fan who said, “Sir ha, it’s amusing to know you’re updated din pala in the world of showbiz. Parang di kasi nababagay eh sa isang katulad mo who’s a hard hitting writer to get oriented in showbiz especially that you’re a Palanca awardee. But on the other hand showbiz and politics are not far from each other though politics is more dirtier showbiz.”
