KINANSELA ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) First Division ang nominasyon ni Ronald Cardema bilang party-list representative ng Duterte Youth.
“The nomination of Respondent, Ronald Gian Carlo L Cardema, as the first nominee of Duterte Youth party-list, is hereby canceled,” sabi sa huling pahina ng resolusyon.
Pinirmahan ang resolusyon nina Presiding Commissioner Al Parreño, Commissioner Rowena Guanzon at Commissioner Marlon Casquejo.
Sa isang post sa Twitter, kinumpirma ni Emil Marañon III, na kinatigan ng Comelec ang kanilang petisyon na ikansela ang nominasyon ni Cardema bilang first nominee of Duterte Youth.
Si Marañon ang tumatayong abogado ng National Union of Students of the Philippines, College Editor’s Guild of the Philippines, Youth Act Now Against Tyranny, at Millennials PH na naghain ng isang petisyon laban sa nominasyon ni Cardema.
“We are happy to announce that with the vote of 2-0, the Comelec First Division has granted our Petition seeking the cancellation of the nomination of Gian Carlo Cardema as the First Nominee of the Duterte Youth Party-List,” ayon pa kay Marañon.
