“We’re hoping to invite the different stakeholders in professional sports to participate in this sports summit under GAB,” sabi ni GAB chairman Abraham Khalil “Baham” Mitra sa lingguhang “Usapang Sports” na handog ng Tabloids Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS) Huwebes ng umaga sa National Press Club sa Intramuros, Maynila.
“We’re trying to bring GAB closer to our stakeholders, closer to the people. Through the convention, we’re hoping to come up with a dialogue and assessment. We hope to come up with a road map on what we have to do and where we want to go,” sabi pa ni Mitra.
Nakasama ni Mitra sa sports forum sina GAB chief medical officer Dr. Radentor Viernes at GAB Boxing and Other Combat Sports head Dioscoro “Jun” Bautista.
“We’re very fortunate to get the support of Sen.
Angara at Sen. Bong Go para maging keynote speakers sa nasabing summit.
“It will be a very productive convention for all of us,” sabi ni Dr. Viernes, na itinalaga bilang pinuno ng organizing committee ng summit.
“There will be lectures on different topics involving professional sports, including the anti-doping program of the government, the universal health care and even developmental pediatrician,” sabi pa ni Dr. Viernes.
World Boxing Council (WBC) Women’s Convention and Asian Summit noong nakaraang Nobyembre.
