HINDI pa man nag-iinit ang 18th Congress, nagbitiw ang isang partylist congressman.
Nagsumite ng kanyang irrevocable resignation si Rep. Jose Antonio Lopez, ang ikalawang nominee ng Marino partylist.
“The resignation is effective immediately. As his resignation is for personal reasons, it is best that we wait for him to make a statement on the matter when he is ready. We regret to see him go, but we understand that the decision is his to make,” saad ng pahayag ng Marino.
Si Lopez ay Business Development Manager ng Udenna Corp., na pagmamay-ari ni Dennis Uy, ng Phoenix Petroleum at Mislatel Consortium, ang ikatlong telecommunication company ng bansa.
Ang Marino ay mayroong dalawang representante sa 18th Congress.
“We are currently undergoing the legal process of substitution and for this reason, we will not comment further until it is deemed resolved,” saad pa ng pahayag.
Ipinabatid ni Marino Rep. Carlo Lisandro Gonzalez sa Partylist Foundation Coalition Inc. ang pagbibitiw ni Lopez.
