CONEY REYES AT VICO SOTTO
“HINDI ako nakikialam sa trabaho ng anak ko bilang mayor ng Pasig City!”
‘Yan ang ipinagdiinan ng award-winning veteran actress na si Coney Reyes nang matanong tungkol sa anak na si Vico Sotto. Aniya, may sariling diskarte ang anak nila ni Bossing Vic Sotto at naniniwala siya sa kakayahan nito bilang public servant.
“Hindi ako nakikisali o nakikialam sa trabaho niya sa city hall, lalo na sa affairs sa Pasig. I don’t have a clue or I don’t know what to do, siya ‘yung may alam and I know he is capable, he is competent, and I know he trusts the Lord, so that’s the most important thing,” paliwanag ni Coney sa isang TV interview.
Isa si Vico sa mga bagong halal na mayor na binabantayan ngayon ng madlang pipol matapos magmarka sa mundo ng politika ang pagkapanalo niya laban kay Bobby Eusebio na 27 taong nagsilbi sa mga taga-Pasig.
At bilang ina, proud na proud siyempre si Coney sa tagumpay ng anak nila ni Bossing, “I’m very proud of my son. I’m grateful to the Lord for his heart that’s willing to serve people, so I pray for him always and thank God for this opportunity for my son that he will be able to serve the people of Pasig.
“I’m also thankful for all the people who come out to support him, and I just pray that God will continue to give him wisdom, discernment, and favor in all that he does,” aniya sa panayam naman ng GMA 7.
Muling makakasama ang veteran actress sa bagong teleserye ng Kapuso Network after being part of Victor Magtanggol na pinagbidahan ni Alden Richards. Makakasama niya rito sina Rhian Ramos at Carla Abellana.
Sa tanong kung paano hina-handle ni Coney ang bashers ng anak, “Hindi ako masyadong nagbabasa ng mga comments. I have my social media accounts, but I don’t really read minsan. If my son is not affected, why should I be affected?
“He’s doing his best, he’s so focused on work, and I think that’s what important, ’di ba? He has his own vision, he has talents, his gifts are there so maybe we’re here to guide him but we do not impose what we want on him.
“So, I’d like to think it’s something that the Lord has deposited in his heart, and he is doing what the Lord wants him to do. We just really keep him in prayer and he knows we’re here for him to support him 101 percent.
“Whatever he needs, he can just let me know about it but my main support is really prayers,” aniya pa.
