SSS contribution increase paiimbestigahan

Leifbilly Begas - June 18, 2019 - 01:47 PM

“If SSS will only be able to collect these, then even the pension increase can be funded without need for a hike in the members’ contribution.  Also, the improvement in their investment efficiency and maximization of income from their investments, SSS funds will be more than enough to fund additional pension increases,” ani Zarate.

“The fact that it has billions of uncollected premiums means its losing money due to either corruption or inefficiency. The present SSS management, just like under the previous administrations,  is seeking the easy way by increasing premium contribution and mandatory memberships instead of addressing their long running problems of low collection rate, inability to run after delinquent employers, unwise investments, and unreasonably high benefits for its officials. They are shifting the burden to the already over-burdened and over-taxed members instead of working hard to improve efficiency with which they owe the members and the public,” dagdag pa ng solon.
