Jett Pangan of The Dawn recalled how it was in the 80’s bilang isa sa pinakasikat na banda.
Kasama si Jett sa “Into The 80’s” concert sa The Theatre at Solaire Resort & Casino on May 18, with other 80’s music icons Gino Padilla, Raymond Lauchengco, Lou Bonnevie and Jam Morales.
“Nu’ng panahon namin, in our genre, tutugtog kami sa mga parties, bars and they’re not really meant for live performances and you put that party where people just stand and watch. Nasa roof deck kami ng mga buildings.
“Those were exciting times because it is almost subversive where we’re playing music na hindi naririnig sa AM at sa FM, hindi napapanood sa TV. That was pretty much what I really missed the most, the playing na it was not about money. You’ll never earn much playing in a party iba ‘yung feeling,” he recalled.
