Over worked? Delikado yan!

A BIG budget airline recently cancelled many of its flights causing passengers panicking and customers angry. Because of these, government stepped in and is now conducting an investigation.

It turns out that its pilots including its flight attendants and cabin crew are having work fatigue and stress issues due to many flights with only a few pilots and cabin crew working. That means, pilots would have to operate another plane as soon as they landed. And cabin crew and flight attendants would have to rush to another plane as soon as they deplaned passengers.

As a result, fatigue and stress prompted these personnel to absent or take a leave to depressurize themselves of stress and fatigue caused by a very delicate and stressful nature of their job functions.

Kung hindi ito
na-address kaagad marahil malaking trahedya ang mga susunod na mangyari.

Stress and fatigue arising from our work could kill. Ang mga ito ang sinasabing cause of deaths of some local actors, movie and television production people who are working 24-hour, and work again without prescribed sleep or proper rest.

Work fatigue and stress issues are prominent in Japan. Many Japanese workers committed suicide because of this.

I am not an expert on the matter but I believe fatigue and stress caused by overworking here in the country is prevalent only that it mani fests in many different ways.

It is quite difficult for employers and workers to discern fatigue, too.

Work-related fatigue is a gray area in the world of work in the country. With a modern and modernizing economy, it is high time to set guidelines and standards to protect the workers and make them productive and happy.
