MARAMING members ng LGBTQ+ community ang kumampi kina Agot Isidro at sa boyfriend nitong si Florin “Pilo” Hilbay matapos tawagin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na “bakla” ang senatoriable.
Sa halip na ma-turn off, ipinagtanggol pa ng mga beki at tibo ang BF ni Agot laban kay Digong matapos nitong akusahang beki si Hilbay sa kanyang speech, sa campaign rally ng Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan o PDP-Laban, sa Cagayan recently.
“Florin Hilbay is a lawyer. But he’s gay. His girlfriend is Igot Isidro. They’re always together. Agot rather, not Igot,” pahayag ng Pangulo sa kanyang speech. Pero agad naman niyang nilinaw na wala siyang isyu sa LGBTQ community.
“I don’t have a problem with gays, but this particular gay is a bully,” sabi ni President Duterte. They always criticize me, Hilbay and Agot, until they ended up being couple,” sabi pa ni Digong.
Narito naman ang ginawang pagtatanggol ni Agot kay Hilbay, “Straight po sya. Straight din ako. Straight kami.”
“At issue ba talaga ang gender? #LGBTQIA supporter ako, naniniwala na ang gender ay walang kinalaman sa integridad ng isang tao. Pero ang pagmumura at pagpatay, we’ll that’s a different story,” matapang na hirit pa ng aktres.
Ito naman ang banat na tweet ni Hilbay sa pangulo, “President Duterte accused me of being gay, and of using @agot_isidro as beard. Hindi ako na-inform na sumasideline pala siyang chismoso sa kanto. Daming free time, ser?”
“And to use sexuality as an insult? He’s no LGBTQIA ally, cyst. If Duterte is a real LGBTQIA ally, he would know that coming out is the most personal and momentous decision an LGBTQIA person could make.
“His display of bigotry is the reason why people choose to hide in the shadows, living in fear, instead of accepting their personal truth,” aniya pa.
