Hihimayin ng Kamara de Representantes ang bersyon ng budget na inaprubahan ng Senado.
Ayon kay House committee on appropriations chairman at Camarines Sur Rep. Rolando Andaya Jr., nais din nilang malaman kung saan ipinasok ng mga senador ang pondo ng gobyerno sa ilalim ng P3.757 trilyong budget.
“There are differences in the Senate and the House versions. We are preparing the matrix. Before we can proceed, we must start with the baseline. This has been the standard procedure in any budget bicam. They review our version.
We review theirs. The budget book is voluminous — thousands of pages,” ani Andaya.
Ginalaw ng Kamara de Representantes ang P75 bilyong ‘insertion’ ng Department of Budget and Management sa budget at inilipat ito sa ibang proyekto. Ginalaw din ito ng mga senador.
Ayon naman kay COOP-NATCCO Rep. Anthony Bravo magiging bukas sa media ang bicameral conference committee meeting ng budget.
Sinabi ni Bravo na ‘walang violent reaction’ ng irekomenda ang pagbubukas sa publiko ng pagdinig.
“There was no violent reaction whatsoever,” ani Bravo. “The proceeding will be on live streaming by Monday.”
