TINIYAK ng Palaayo na walang whitewash sa isasagawang imbestigasyon ng mga otoridad matapos namang mahuli sa Naga City ang anak ni Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Nicanor Faeldon dahil sa umano’y pagkakasaangkot sa droga.
Kinumpirma ni Presidential Spokesperson at Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo na nakatanggap ang Malacanang ng spot report mula sa Philippine National Police (PNP) kaugnay ng pagkakaaresto kay Nicanor Faeldon, Jr. at apat na iba pa matapos mahulihan ng droga sa Naga City.
“We assure that there will be no whitewash on the ongoing investigation in adherence with the Administration’s firm resolve to curb illegal drugs in the country,” sabi ni Panelo.
Kasabay nito, pinuri ng Malacanang si Faeldon sa kanyang desisyon na hindi makialam aa kaso.
“The Palace likewise commends BuCor chief Faeldon for taking a principled stand of distancing himself from the investigation, for letting police authorities do the job of probing said incident, and for offering to resign once the allegation is proven true,” ayon pa kay Panelo.
