BILYON-bilyong pondo ang nakalaan sa distrito ni dating House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez sa ilalim ng 2019 national budget.
Sa sulat na ipinadala ni House Majority Leader Rolando Andaya Jr., sa Malacanang, sinabi nito na P5 bilyon ang nakalaang proyekto ng Department of Public Works and Highways sa distrito ni Alvarez sa Davao del Norte.
Ang distrito naman ni da-ting House Majority Leader Rodolfo Farinas ay mayroong P3.5 bilyong proyekto.
Si dating House committee on appropriations chairman at ngayon ay Cabinet Sec. Karlo Nograles ng Davao City ay mayroon namang P4 bilyon sa kanyang distrito.
Sinabi ni Andaya na ang kasalukuyang speaker na si Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ay pang-60 samantalang siya ay pang-110 sa palakihin ng pondo na nakalaan sa distrito sa ilalim ng DPWH.
“Close scrutiny if the 2019 budget during House deliberation showed huge funding spikes in other favored districts the provenance of which leadership of the DPWH has reportedly known nothing about. An initial check with the National Economic Development Authority likewise revealed that many were not recommended by the Regional Development Councils.”
Sinabi ni Andaya na sinunod nila ang batas alinsunod sa paggalaw ng mga pondo.
Wala namang nakikitang mali si Arroyo kung mayroong napuntang pondo sa kanyang distrito dahil lahat naman ng distrito ay mayroong nakalaang pondo.
“Why should I deprive the people of my district? I’m only upper middle class as far as the allocations are concerned!” ani Arroyo.
Pakiramdam umano ni Arroyo ay na-single out lalo at hindi naman siya ang may pinakamalaking nakuhang pondo.
“The previous leadership of the House have bigger, multiples of the budget of my district. But who’s going to… I mean.. If I’m number 90 or number 60 and I’m the Speaker of the House, I have to explain that?”
