Marcos aakyat sa SC pero…

MAGDEDESISYON muna ang Sandiganbayan Fifth Division sa apela ni dating First Lady at ngayon ay Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos sa pitong kaso ng graft kung saan ito napatunayang guilty, bago aksyunan ang nais nito na kuwestyunin sa Korte Suprema ang desisyon.

Naghain si Marcos ng notice of appeal sa Sandiganbayan upang ihayag ang nais nito na dumulog sa Supreme Court.

Pero ayon sa Sandiganbayan hindi pa nito maaksyunan ang notice of appeal ni Marcos dahil hindi pa nito nareresolba ang Motion for Leave na nauna nitong inihain matapos na hatulan ito ng guilty sa pitong kaso ng graft.

“The notice of appeal filed by Marcos is premature as the court has not yet resolved her motion for leave to avail of post-conviction remedies. Therefore, the court cannot take action on the same,” saad ng Fifth Division.

Sumasailalim pa sa deliberasyon ng korte kung pagbibigyan ang mosyon ni Marcos na maiapela ang desisyon at makapagpiyansa habang hindi pa pinal ang desisyon.

Pinagbigyan si Marcos na makapaglagak ng P150,000 piyansa habang kanyang inaapela ang desisyon.

Hindi dumalo si Marcos ng basahin ang desisyon ng korte noong Nobyembre 9. Ang kaso ay kaugnay ng mga Swiss bank account na binuksan niya at ng kanyang mister.
