Du30 itinalaga si Faeldon bilang bagong BuCor chief

ITINALAGA ni Pangulong Duterte si Nicanor Faeldon bilang kapalit ni Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa bilang bagong head ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
Awtomatikong nagbitiw na si dela Rosa matapos namang maghain ng kanyang certificate of candidacy (COC) para sa pagka-senador sa 2019.
Si Faeldon ang kasalukuyang Deputy Administrator ng Office Civil Defense (OCD).
Siya ay dating head ng Bureau Customs (BoC), bagamat nagbitiw matapos namang ang kontrobersyal na P6.4 bilyong shabu mula sa China na nakalusyo sa BOC.
“The DOJ (Department of Justice) has interposed no objections to the proposed appointment of Mr. Faeldon and is now seeking the favorable endorsement of the civil service commission as part of the requirements under the BuCor Act of 2013,” sabi ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra.
Kabilang si Faeldon sa mga sundalong binigyan ng amnestiya sa ilalim ng Proclamation 75, kasama si Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV.
Ipinalabas ni Pangulong Duterte ang Proclamation 572 kung saan binawi ang amnestiya ni Trillanes.
