DUMAAN pala sa matin-ding pagsubok ang Kapuso actress na si Andrea Torres matapos ma-injure dahil sa sa sobra at hindi tamang paraan ng pag-e-exercise.
Ibinalita ni Andrea na nagkaroon siya ng spine injury dahil sa pagbubuhat. Sa kanyang Instagram account, idinetalye ng sexy actress ang mga nangyari.
“2 yrs ago I was faced with one of the most difficult setbacks of my life. At the gym, I was lifting my heaviest..more than my weight.
“I felt on top of the world successfully doing back-to-back squats, deadlifts & benchpresses. I received so much compliments for my form, so much so that I was offered to compete. I fell in love with power lifting & I was already seriously considering competing,” simulang kuwento ni Andrea.
“Eventually, I was given the go signal to continue training alone. Everything was fine. I was even levelling up. Those little achievements e-veryday gave me so much fulfillment that I forgot to listen to the reminders of the people around me & most especially, listen to my body.
“I was doing a soap that time & lacked sleep but I didn’t slow down. Then the unthinkable happened… I injured my spine – real bad. You can just ima-gine how devastated I was.
“All of a sudden, I – who was so in control of my body – felt so lost. Nothing seemed to work anymore & I had no idea where to start. There were so many restrictions.
“I thought I’d never be able to go back to my active lifestyle. Then this girl came to the rescue… This is Coach Chloe. Coincidentally, she’s also a PT. Slowly, we built my strength back. She was so patient with me.
“I wasn’t able to get a lot of things done at first. She modified the exercises to make sure we wouldn’t put unnecessary strain on my back & when there was no more discomfort, we started adding new challenges. Little by little.
“Now, I’m so happy to be back!I can lift again! This is an appreciation post for @chloellima30 who’s been giving so much more than what her job requires & does so with sincerity..and she never even asks credit for it. THANK YOU.”
