Actually, it is for the hoi polloi. And when someone as filthy rich as Korina Sanchez is seen eating a poor man’s merienda like kwek kwek, the effect is anything but miniscule.
Nang makita ng netizens si Korina eating kwek kwek, not a few were impressed. You don’t see a member of higher echelon eating that kind of street food, right?

That was Korina’s caption sa kanyang Instagram photo while holding a kwek kwek on stick. Was she nagpapapansin? Was she feigning her feelings when she calls it ‘masarap’? Is that for publicity stunt?
The answer to the three questions we posed is no. Why would she make papansin naman? And why would she not say she was nasarapan kung nasarapan naman siya? At her stature, she doesn’t need cheap publicity stunts like this.
Actually, Korina eating kwek kwek is a good promotion for the said food. One thing more, even the rich kids love kwek kwek. Kahit itanong n’yo pa sa vendors na malapit sa mga exclusive schools. They love it as they would a hamburger.
