Pagnanakaw sa NAIA3 iniimbestigahan na matapos mawalan ng P140K ang isang Taiwanese

NAGSASAGAWA na ng imbestigasyon ang Office for Transportation Security (OTS) at ang  Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) matapos ang reklamo ng isang Taiwanese na nawalan siya ng $2,600 (P140,000) noong Agosto 30.

Sa isang pahayag, iniulat ng OTS na nawala ni Chen Chun Shu ang kanyang cash sa security screening checkpoint sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

Kinilala ang mga Security Screening Officers (SSO) nang mangyari ang insidente na sina  Nievel Gorpe at Reinelle Alvarez.

Base sa inisyal na imbestigasyon nilabag ni SSO Gorpe ang standard operating procedure “when he searched the passenger’s bag for potential prohibited item without the passenger’s presence, which puts more weight to the claim.”

“We cannot tolerate corruption, in as much as we cannot stand having these kinds of people entrusted with the security of the riding public,” sabi ni OTS Administrator Usec. Arturo Evangelista.

“They shall be sent straight to prison and there will be a day of reckoning for those who intend to do same,” ayon pa kay Evangelista.

Kinasuhan na si Gospe, samantalang nagsasagawa pa ng imbestigasyon para matukoy ang iba pang sangkot sa pagnanakaw.
