Kabilang si Trillanes sa mga akusado sa 2010 Manila Peninsula siege rebellion case na nakabinbin sa Makati RTC Branch 150. Ibinasura ni Makati RTC Judge Elmo Alameda ang kaso matapos na nabigyan ng amnestiya ang mga sundalong Magdalo, kabilang na si Trillanes.
Sa tatlong pahinang very urgent motion with the revocation of the amnesty, sinabi ng DOJ na dapat magpatuloy ang kaso para makapagpresenta ang DOJ ng mga ebidensiya.
“As a consequence [of the issuance of Proclamation 572], the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Court Martial of the Armed Forces of the Philippines are ordered to pursue all criminal and administrative cases filed against former LTSG (Lieutenant Senior Grade) Antonio Trillanes in relation to the Oakwood Mutiny and the Manila Peninsula incident,” sabi ng proclamation 572 ni Duterte.
“It is clear that this instant case is still pending with this Honorable Court, as the prosecution has yet to present its evidence in chief insofar as accused Trillanes is concerned,” ayon sa urgent motion ng DOJ.
Nauna nang hiniling ng DOJ sa korte na mag-isyu ng hold departure order laban kay Trillanes para mapigilan siyang makalabas ng bansa.
