Komento ni Du30 kaugnay ng rape cases sa Davao joke lang-Roque

SINABI ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na nagbibiro lamang si Pangulong Duterte sa kanyang panibagong komento matapos sabihing marami kasing magagandang babae sa Davao kayat tumataas ang kaso ng rape.
“I don’t think we should give too much weight on what the President says by way of a joke,” sabi ni Roque sa kanyang briefing.
Sa kanyang talumpati kahapon, sinabi ni Duterte na nakapagtala ang Davao City ng pinaka maraming kaso ng rape dahil maraming magagandang babae sa kanyang lugar.
“Some may not approve but—you know, I can tell you this already, there’s a difference between sense of humor in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. And from what I have seen myself although I’m from Luzon, people in the South particularly in Cebu and the Visayas, they don’t really take things as seriously as people in Luzon,” giit ni Roque.
Base sa tala ng Philippine National Police (PNP) nakapagtala ng 42 kaso ng rape sa Davao City sa ikalawang bahagi ng 2018. Sinundan ito ng Quezon City, na may 41; Maynila,32; Cagayan de Oro City, 24; at Zamboanga City with 21.
“They’re not okay with rape jokes but let’s just say that perhaps the standard of what is offensive and what is not offensive is more liberal in the South,” ayon pa kay Roque.
“I don’t think so. I think the President is mature enough to know to what extent he can go and he thinks that this is not putting it too low,” giit ni Roque.
