MATAPOS ‘palayasin’ ibinalik ni Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ang Congressional Spouses Foundation Inc. sa Kamara de Representantes.
Ang anak ni Arroyo na si Luli ang naatasan na mamuno sa CSFI at hindi si First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo.
“I hope that you will be very happy now that you have found your home again back here in the halls of Congress. I think we don’t have much time left, only a year so the most important thing is to normalize now that you’re not squatters anymore,” ani Arroyo.
Noong panahon ni Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez bilang speaker, pinaalis nito ang CSFI sa kanilang tanggapan dahil gagamitin umano ang kuwarto na kanilang inuukupa.
Ang CSFI noon ay pinamumunuan ng legal wife ni Alvarez na si Emily. Hiwalay si Alvarez kay Emily.
Sinabi ni Arroyo na kung mayroong proyekto ang CSFI dapat ay makatulong ito sa mga distrito ng mga kongresista.
“I understand from Luli the one that would fit that the most would be Kabuhayan fair then it will help the people in your districts and therefore help your Congress spouse, so I hope therefore they proceed with that. So I hope in the short we are together we will be productive and most important the camaraderie that is needed to make the congressional spouses successful in their work,” ani Arroyo.
