Narito ang IG post ni Kris: “Thank you @iamgarygarcia, @hellokris, and @michaelleyva_ for entertaining Kuya Josh & Bimb (taking them to their GO TO eating spots) while I rested/got stronger; and then late afternoon. @nix722, @alvingagui, @rochelleahorro & I took a meeting w/ Tita Trini for my Fil-Am lunch get together tomorrow at The Asian Journal followed by our meeting w/ @agentchrislee from Authentic Talent & Literary Management. #lovelovelove.”
Samantala, mega-promote rin ang National Book Store ng librong “Crazy Rich Asians” ni Kevin Kwan base sa post nila nitong Linggo ng litrato ni Kris hawak ang libro.

Sa nasabing post, may isang netizen ang nagkomento na wala naman daw linya si Princess Intan sa pelikulang “Crazy Rich Asians” na ginagampanan nga ni Kris.
Nang mabasa ito ng Queen of Social Media sinagot niya ito ng, “@deexeds @veagonzalvo, I am TRYING to ignore the fact that some fellow Filipinos can be so sarcastic when @kevinkwanbooks the creator of the #CrazyRichAsians trilogy has been so generous in his praise & regardless of how busy he is here in LA now- w/ nonstop press interviews, he wanted to take me out for afternoon tea earlier & introduce me to some prominent Canadian & US writers tapos kayo kahit hindi n’yo pa napapanuod ‘yung movie- may ‘hahahaha’ na.
“SORRY pero ang pasensya may hangganan din. After the movie has been screened ‘yung mga haka-haka n’yo- in the event kayo ang tama- 47 schools in your names will receive donations of @nationalbookstore supplies for teachers. Kung mapahiya man ako, may deserving teachers who will benefit.
“Pero kung itong mga comment nyo napatunayan na walang saysay- I believe I’m owed a- ‘we were wrong for prejudging your participation in @crazyrichasians @krisaaquino’ and if i see that, those 47 schools will still get supplies for their teachers. Unlike others- in a world that enjoys bringing people down, i feel empowered doing my share to help selfless people doing their share for the future of the Philippines #laban.”

Me and my friend didn’t expect you to come up with that reaction. We have no intentions po na pagtawanan na you’re one of the casts of the movie. In fact, fan niyo po kami nung friend ko. I’m truly sorry po.”
Tugon naman ni Kris, “@deexeds, you are brave enough to own up to your comment- I wasn’t asking for an apology and please notice there was no sarcasm or pagyayabang sa comment ko maybe it’s a reminder for you & @veagonzalvo that just like both of you I’m still a person w/ feelings how else will a person interpret the hahaha?
“I shall open up my heart to both of you all my siblings preferred that I not make this trip after my Indonesian health scare less than 10 days ago pero pinaglaban ko ‘to when you watch the movie I think this much I am allowed to reveal, the whole love story of Rachel & Nick to Singapore was because of Colin & Araminta’s wedding that is the scene I have been blessed to be part of in many ways the character of Rachel is representative of us Filipinos someone others deem ‘not good enough’.
