SIGURADONG mas magiging epektib ngayon ang akting ng mga Kapuso stars na sumailalim sa acting workshops with New York City-based acting coach Anthony Vincent Bova.
Nasa Pilipinas uli ngayon si Coach Bova para pangunahan ang bagong series of workshops para sa mga talents ng GMA Artist Center. Ilan nga sa mga ite-train niya ay sina Benjamin Alves, Andrea Torres, Chynna Ortaleza, Thea Tolentino, Gil Cuerva at marami pang iba.
Matapos ang pagbisita ni Bova sa bansa last February, nakatakda uli siyang magbigay ng “empowerment training” na nakatuon sa “emotional and psychological alignment for peak performance” ng mga artista.
Si Bova ay isa ring aktor, writer at artistic director. He’s also a protégé of famed acting coach Eric Morris, na nagturo rin ng tamang akting sa mga veteran stars nating sina Armida Siguion-Reyna, Leo Martinez, Michael de Mesa, Joel Torre at marami pang iba, gamit ang Eric Morris System of Acting, na sinasabing one of the most popular, effective, and credible acting methods in the world.
Paglalarawan naman ni Bova sa mga Kapuso artists, “They’re beautiful kids. A lot of the actors here, in general, are very grounded, very connected. They’re not detached from themselves and that’s a nice thing.”
Bukod sa iba’t ibang atake sa akting, ang pagtutuunan ng training ngayon ni Bova ay, “I focused on different parts of the actor’s life, different tools and techniques, and many different ways to apply those tools and techniques. The first workshop was just a fraction of that.”
Makakatuwang ni Coach Bova sa series of workshops na ito ang Kapuso character actress na si Anna Feleo, “I believe that actors, especially the new ones, should take acting classes regularly. They should find the right teacher that will make them feel that they are safe, encouraged, and not scared to fail or make mistakes.”
Nakatakdang bumalik si Bova sa January, 2019 upang magsagawa ng culminating activity kung saan maipakikita ng mga Kapuso actors ang kanilang mga natutunan sa loob ng isang taon sa kanyang training program.
