PINAGTIBAY ng Court of Appeals ang pagiging lehitimong pangulo ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) si Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines chief Victorico Vargas sa inilabas na siyam na pahinang desisyon at resolusyon ng 10th division nito lamang Hunyo 28, 2018.
Ito ang nakasaad sa Resolusyon na pirmado ni Court of Appeals Executive Clerk of Court III Maria Isabel M.Pattugalan-Madarang base sa mga desisyon nina Associate Justice Maria Filomena D. Singh, Sesinando E. Villon at Edwin D. Sorongon.
“Wherefore, the Petition for Review, including the Motion for Reconsideration of the Resolution of the court dated 30 January 2018, had become moot and academic. It is accordingly Dismissed with prejudice,” ayon sa resolusyon.
Nagalak naman si Vargas sa desisyon.
“I am naturally heartened by the decision even as we were actually planning to file a petition to dismiss the case. But the fact that the Court of Appeals took it upon itself to render this decision-and with prejudice, at that, I am more than delighted,” aniya. —Angelito Oredo
