Ani Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, hindi lulusot sa Kongreso at Senado ang panukala.
Maging si Pangulong Duterte, dagdag niya, ay nagbago na ang isip ukol dito.
“And even the President has actually changed his mind on it. There was a time when he said that he was against it. There was a time he said he’s for it. So talagang this is fluid and iyon na nga, If I were asked as a public interest litigator I would have waited,” paliwanag ni Roque.
Kahit si maging si Bataan Rep. Geraldine Roman,na isang transgender, ay aminadong hindi maisasabatas ang same sex marriage sa kasalukuyan.
“Congresswoman Roman has told me so is that it’s not yet time for same sex marriage kaya ang isinusulong po ngayon sa Kongreso, isinusulong nila ng LGBT community iyong SOGIE,” dagdag ni Roque na ang tinutukoy ay panukala na “prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression (SOGIE).”
