Alma ipinahiya sa mali-maling english

OUR apologies first for dropping her name.

Kung tutuusi’y batchmate namin noong high school from another Catholic school situated right across ours si Kit Quizon.

If her name sounds familiar, isa si Kit sa mga anak ni Tito Dolphy. Unlike the late ace comedian’s kids who’ve joined showbiz and made names for themselves, low-profile lang si Kit.

Dati, taga-Dian, Makati si Kit, kapit-siyudad lang ng Pasay. Kaeskuwela niya ang aming pinsang-buo from the nun-run school na pinanggalingan namin until Grade IV, the same school which produced sisters Chona and Cecille Castillo, and not to forget, Maricel Soriano.

On my cousin’s FB wall was a post, may larawan ni Alma Moreno.

Agad na nag-comment si Kit under a series of reactions we believed came from her batchmates, most of them at least. Ani Kit, “Be nice, ladies. Be nice, she’s the mother of my brother.”

Biologically, yes. Minus the legalities, ina pa rin ng kapatid ni Kit ang ginagawang peg (read: katatawanan) in the exercise of intelligent voting. Short of saying, boba si Alma.

For our part, nag-post kami ng comment saying that one nice thing about Ness (palayaw niAlma) is that she has no pretensions.

Not once do we distinctly remember na ipinagmalaki ni Alma na merong something sa pagitan ng kanyang dalawang tenga. Alma seems to even take pride in her boo-boos ranging from “violins” to “small Mc (Donald’s)” for Vandolph.
