Teo at mga kapatid na Tulfo iniimbestigahan ng Ombudsman

INIIMBESTIGAHAN ng Ombudsman ang P60 milyong advertisement contract na kinasasangkutan ng nagbitiw na si Tourism Sec. Wanda Teo at kanyang mga kapatid na sina Ben at Erwin Tulfo.

“Yes, yes we’ve already done that,” sagot ni Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales sa tanong ng mga mamamahayag. “We will do a fact-finding [investigation].”

Ang fact-finding investigation ay ang bahagi ng pangangalap ng mga field investigator ng ebidensya upang malaman kung may batayan ang isang alegasyon.

Kung sapat ang ebidensya magsasagawa ng preliminary investigation kung saan pasasagutin ang inaakusahan sa mga ebidensyang nakalap. Kung may probable cause ay isusunod na ang pagsasampa ng kaso.

Sinabi naman ni Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano na hindi dapat matapos sa pagbibitiw ni Teo ang mga alegasyon at dapat umanong mayroong masampahan ng kaso.

“Firing of officials allegedly due to corruption and just transferring them to other government posts has become the pattern of this Duterte administration. This is just to show that Duterte is against corruption but in reality no case has been filed against those who were fired by him. For the sake of transparency and accountability (and not just for accommodation), Duterte should file appropriate case/s against Teo and all those who will be fired in the future due to corruption,” ani Alejano.
