6 Pinoy director kumontra sa petisyon na itigil ang pagpapalabas ng ‘Amo’ sa Netflix

UMALMA ang ilang directors sa panawagan ng ilang grupo na kanselahin ng Netflix ang pagpapalabas ng Pinoy TV series na Amo, produced ng TV5 at idinirek ni Brillante Mendoza.

Reklamo ng mga nagpetisyon sa serye, kabilang na ang mga kritiko ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, mukhang propaganda raw ito para i-justify ang war on drugs ng administrasyon.

Isa sa na-interview ni Bayani San Diego, Jr. ng Philippine Daily Inquirer si direk Joey Reyes tungkol sa isyu.

“Whether you agree with what it has to say or not, democracy assures you a space for ideas, opinions and positions to find their fair chance to be offered for the public to judge.

“Preemptive measures based on presumptions and assumptions regarding the content of media material are a form of precautionary censorship, which is equally dictatorial and a violation of humans rights – precisely what certain netizens are protesting against,” saad ni direk Joey.
