REPLY: Good afternoon! The length of service will only be a factor in the computation of separation pay which a resigned employee is not entitled to receive.
Separation pay is given to employees in instances covered by Articles 298 and 299 (formerly Articles 283 and 284) of the Labor Code of the Philippines.
Resigned employees will only receive last pay, which may include last salary (if withheld), proportionate 13th month pay, unused service incentive leaves and other claims (such as cash bond).
The last pay shall be received upon completing clearance, within a reasonable period of Information and Publication Service
