DONNY PANGILINAN AT MARICEL LAXA
BEING the son of actress Maricel Laxa and media personality Anthony Pangilinan, we asked Donny Pangilinan kung anong tips ang ibinigay sa kanya ng kanyang parents now that he’s into showbiz na.
Isa si Donny sa in-introduce ng Star Magic bilang latest talents nila for 2018.
“To just find what separates you. Find what makes you you. To don’t be pressured into copying who you should be,” say ni Donny.
Is coming from a showbiz family an advantage? “For me, siyempre, I feel like, kunwari kailangan ko ng tulong, kailangan ko ng advice, perfect sila kasi they’ve been in the industry for the longest time so they know what’s going on.
“Actually, mas mahirap nga, eh. Siyempre, ‘yung staying power mo. They’ll gonna keep comparing so you really have to prove yourself.
“Actually, we have to work harder. We have to prove ourselves. ‘Yung staying power is really what we need to have. We need to be unique,” he said.
Donny armed himself before joining showbiz by doing acting workshops, “Even before I joined showbiz, actually I’ve been doing acting workshops noong nasa school pa nga, eh.”
He will start recording soon and will also start filming his first movie.
“I guess I want both. I hope to excel in both kasi para sa akin ito, eh. You can keep on improving yourself,” he said when asked kung ano pipiliin niya between singing and acting.
