Digong buo tiwala kay Aguirre

NANANATILI ang tiwala ni Pangulong Duterte kay Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre sa kabila ng pagkadismaya niya matapos ibasura ang kaso laban sa mga umano’y drug lord, kabilang sina Kerwin Espinosa at Peter Lim.

“For as long as he has not been fired, he enjoys the trust and confidence of the President… as, you know, as is the case with all of us,” sabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

Nauna nang nabatikos ang Department Justice (DOJ) matapos ang pagkakabasura ng kaso laban kina Espinosa at Lim.

Idinagdag ni Roque na dapat seryosohin ni Aguirre ang banta ni Duterte na ipapalit siya sa kulungan sakaling makawala sina Espinosa at Lim sa kulungan.

“My motto is: Always take the President seriously. Siguro po the trust remains dahil kung hindi naman, sisisantihin po siya ng Presidente. And the President has not hesitated to fire even members of the Cabinet,” sabi pa niya.

Idinagdag ng opisyal na bumuo na si Aguirre ng bagong panel na hahawak muli ng kaso laban sa mga drug lord bunsod ng naging banta ni Duterte.

“That’s why he has already taken steps to create a new investigation panel, ayon pa kay Roque.

Nauna nang nanawagan ang ilang mambabatas para sa pagbibitiw ni Aguirre.
