SPEAKING of women’s rights, this one is a legit case.
American actress Lili Reinhart, took to her social media account ang photoshopped photos na pinost ng isang local magazine.
Sa kanyang Instagram account tinawag niya ang attention ng Cosmopolitan Philippines dahil sa kanyang picture with co-star Netflix series na Riverdale na si Cami Mendez na inilabas ng magazine.
“Over the last year, we’ve seen an unpredented movement for women’s rights, and one thing is clear our time is now. We are phenomenal and we will make the world a better placce for all women. But we still have a long way to go.” post ni Lili sa kanyang IG stories.
Pinost din nya ang original na pictures mula sa Cosmopolitan February issue at ang photo na pinost naman ng Cosmopolitan Philippines.
She pointed out the photo that she thought was obviously photoshopped dahil sa pagkakaiba ng kanyang waistline, at maging ang photos ni Cami. pati na din ang pictures ni Cami.
“Camila and I have worked incredibly hard to feel confident and comfortable in the bodies that we have. It’s an every day battle sometimes. And to see our bodies become so distorted in an editing process is a perfect example of the obstacles we have yet to overcome.”
“So we cannot stop fighting. Our battle has only just begun. We are fucking powerful, beautiful and strong…we aren’t going to hide behind photoshop to conform to beauty standards.”
Dahil dito may panawagan si Lili.
“That’s why I’m calling out @cosmopolitan_philippines. It’s sad that you felt our bodies needed to be slimmed down. But Camila and I are fucking beautiful. As is. And you can’t fix us.”
Wala na ang naturang photos sa Instagram ng Cosmopolitan Philippines account.
Sa huli may mensahe ang American actress sa mga kababaihan at mga kasamahang mga actress at public figures.
“So like every other day, women…go kick some ass. You are being heard. You are strong and sensational.”
