Datos ng Pinoy Uber users kabilang sa mga na-hack-Uber PH

SINABI ng National Privacy Commission (NPC) na kinumpirma ng Uber Philippines na kabilang ang personal na impormasyon ng hindi pa madeterminang dami ng Pinoy Uber users sa mga na-hack matapos ang nangyaring cyber-hacking noong isang taon.
Sinabi ng NPC na sumulat ang Uber Philippines sa ahensiya kung saan sinabi nito na kabilang ang mga Pinoy sa mga milyong-milyong datos na ninakaw noong Oktubre 2016.
“In that letter, Uber confirmed to us that personal information of Filipinos were exposed in the data breach,” sabi ng NPC.
“Unfortunately, Uber failed to provide the level of detail that we expect from personal information controllers about data breach notifications, such as the actual number of Filipinos affected, and the scope of their exposure,” dagdag ng NPC.
Nauna nang inamin ng Uber Technologies Inc. na na-hack ang system nito noong Oktubre 2016 kung saan apektado ang impormasyon ng 56 milyong Uber users.
