Kasama niya sa pelikula sina Nonie Buencamino, Sid Lucero, Bembol Roco, Christopher de Leon, TJ Trinidad, Alex Medina at Ricky Davao. Ito ay sa ilalim ng TBA Studios.

“These are the people I admire and respect, actually nu’ng na-interview kami sinabi ko sa kanila na, ‘Baka naman you guys can mentor me?’ Pinagtawanan nila ako.

“Pero seryoso ako, this has been such an amazing learning experience for me being able na makasama ako ng mga katulad nila, kita n’yo naman, for some reason, ako lang ‘yung babae rito at sobrang karangalan iyon at nakakataba ng puso that they gave me that responsibility to be the female entity in the movie.

“Being part of the cast, hopefully I believe it gives me more credibility as an actress.

“This is a proud comeback for me to be amongst great actors and a great director and of course TBA who’s been very innovative with their projects and I think the industry really needs them and great minds like direk Raya (Martin).

“So, when I met her I was expecting na may specific siyang ibibilin na character o specific siyang expectation pero sobrang generous ni Ms. Batacan dahil talagang ramdam namin hindi lang sa film adaptation but also for may character dahil ibinigay niya ‘yung full trust sa team and to the actors.

“And they didn’t make me feel na baguhan ako or baka hindi ko ma-meet ‘yung expectations niya, actually very encouraging,” a ni Carla.

Samantala, nawawala-wala ang aktres sa showbiz at ang dahilan niya, “Medyo nawala po ako for a time, nag soul searching ako. Sad to say that there’s a point of my career na medyo ramdam ko na baka hindi ito (showbiz) para sa akin.

“Hindi ko masyadong nararamdaman ‘yung pagmamahal ng industriya for me, to be honest, although I’m lucky to have people like you who always say kind words for me, but dumating sa point na baka hindi nga ito para sa akin.

“So lumayas ako for a time, I fell in love, typical, na heart-broken ako, bumalik ako at akala ko hindi na ako babalik kasi parang feeling ko, where do I belong in the industry?

“And nu’ng ‘yung time na nararamdaman ko, dumating itong project na ito (Smaller And Smaller Circles) sa akin, siyempre ibang karangalan na makasama ‘yung mga co-actors ko and direk Raya handpicked the cast and for me not have been in the scene for them to think of me, sobrang karangalan.

“Sana starting this, it will open doors, meron akong ginawa recently na ‘Nay (indie movie for Cinema One), I played the young Sylvia Sanchez, and I’m also recurring character in Pusong Ligaw (best friend ni Beauty Gonzales), tapos one of my very close friend, Alessandra de Rossi wrote a script about ‘Diaries of 30 Something’ which talk about women in their 30’s and their struggles.

“Even though hindi masyadong marami ang ginagawa ko ngayon, sobrang quality naman ang projects starting with ‘Smaller And Smaller Circles’ kasi doon na-revive ‘yung love ko for acting and to fight for staying in the industry,” mahabang kuwento ni Carla.

Mapapanood na ang “Smaller And Smaller Circles” sa Dis. 6 mula sa TBA Studios na idinirek ni Raya Martin.
