Ang payat pa rin ni Carla nang humarap siya sa press for her newest soap in TeleBabad My Husband’s Lover na magsisimula this Monday right after Mundo Mo’y Akin. She has Tom Rodriguez, the newest Kapuso hunk to move from the other network as her husband while Dennis Trillo will be playing her husband’s lover naman.
Two other matinee hunks Victor Basa and Kevin Santos will also be playing gay in the series directed by Dominic Zapata that also stars Ms. Kuh Ledesma and Mr. Roi Vinzon, Bettina Carlos, Chanda Romero, Pancho Magno and Glydel Mercado.
The first time narinig ni Carla ang project, ang tanong niya lang kung ready na ba ang audience with such a risqué material and when she was told na oo, go na rin siya. Na-intrigue kasi siya sa kuwento na for the first time in a soap, hindi babae ang magiging karibal niya sa partner niya kungdi kapwa lalaki.
Carla applauds this bold move of GMA to tackle such subject dahil kahit siya, ang dami niya raw natutunan sa kuwento ng soap about gay dealings. Ang lola niya, heard na rin ang kuwento at waiting na rin itong magsimula.
Having been very open to portray a role like Carla is doing for My Husband’s Lover does not mean na open na rin si Carla to face a real life situation like that. For one, ayaw niya ng may kahati so once na malaman ni Carla na may iba pa si boyfriend, babay na agad without any explanation.
She doesn’t mind kung babae o bakla ang magiging kahati niya kasi nga ayaw niya either way. Ang hope niya na lang daw, sana raw maging honest si Geoff about such at hindi na yung siya ang last to know.
Mabuti na lang daw, sure din si Carla kay Geoff na hindi ito mangyayari.
