TOTOO ang tinuran ni GMA SVP Lilybeth G. Rasonable na itinakdang hanggang one season (or equivalent to 13 weeks) lang ang airing ng AlDub teleserye.
Save for most TV soaps which exceed the three-month “life span,” matagal nang trend ang mga maiikling teleserye.
Pero hindi ito kadalasan nangyayari kung nagre-rate ang programa at pinapasok ng advertisers. Sino naman kasing istasyon ang gustong “pumatay” sa proberbial goose that lays the golden eggs?
‘Yun nga lang, the longer it stays on air, mas pinakakapal at ginagawang mas kumplikado ang kuwento, dinadagdagan ang mga tauhan making it seem like an epic (pero pagbibigay ‘yon ng trabaho to the jobless, sidelined actors), pinahahaba ang mga eksenang puwede namang itapon. And before you know it, it’s no longer the original storyline as ingeniously hatched by the creative team.
Bottom line of all this is #alam na.
Sa kaso ng AlDub, theirs is an odd screen partnership na hindi nag-transcend. Hindi ‘yon tulad ng KathNiel, LizQuen at JaDine na iisipin mong may totoong relasyon off-camera, whose scenes in their respective teleseryes can pass for moments captured in real life.
Wala man kasi sila sa harap ng camera, they breathe their characters kaya ramdam ang nanunuot na kilig.
