Naghain ng mosyon si dating Pangulo at ngayon ay Pampanga Rep. Gloria Arroyo sa Sandiganbayan Fourth Division upang makabiyahe siya sa Germany at France.
Sa kanyang tatlong pahinang Motion for Leave to Travel hiniling ni Arroyo na makaalis ng bansa mula Setyembre 20 hanggang Oktobre 3.
“She will consult with medical experts in Germany on her condition and health, while she will take a short vacation in France,” saad ng mosyon. “She also plans to meet with the Filipino communities in both countries.”
Sa panayam kay Arroyo sa Veterans Memorial Medical Center sinabi nito na mapapakonsulta siya para sa stem cell therapy.
“Probably stem cell therapy because that is one that we’re short of surgery,” ani Arroyo.
Mananatili umano siya sa Holiday Inn Munich City Center sa Germany mula Setyembre 20 hanggang 29. Sa Holiday Inn Paris Montmartre sa France mula Setyembre 29 hanggang Oktobre 2.
Kasama na rin ang mosyon ni Arroyo na makalabas ng bansa mula Oktobre 29 hanggang Nobyembre 4 para pumunta sa Hong Kong para sa kanilang family reunion.
Tutuloy siya sa Salisbury sa YMCA, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
“President Arroyo is not a flight risk,” giit ng mosyon. “President Arroyo is willing and ready to comply with such conditions as the Honorable Court may deem necessary to impose on her travel abroad in order to guarantee her return to the Philippines, including the posting of a bond in an amount deemed sufficient by the Honorable Court.”
Si Arroyo ay nahaharap sa kasong graft kaugnay ng maanomalya umanong National Broadband Network deal.
