Duterte sabik na personal na mabati si Olympic medalist Hidilyn Diaz
SINABI ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na hinihintay na niya si Rio Olymics silver medalist Hidilyn Diaz sa Malacanang para mabati ng personal sa kanyang tagumpay.
“I’d like to wait for you and see you in the people’s Palace in Malacanang,” sabi ni Duterte.
Idinagdag ni Duterte na bilang pangulo ng bansa, labis siyang natutuwa sa karangalang ibinigay ni Diaz.
“Silver is silver, basta sabihin nyo. So I’d like to congratulate Miss Diaz for the honor that she has given us, to the country and I’m praying that you’ll be successful in your many courses of life and in the Olympics, okay ako dyan ma’am. Bilib na ako sa iyo,” dagdag ni Duterte.
Ayon pa kay Duterte, nagagalak siyang nakapagbigay ng inspirasyon kay Diaz ang mensaheng ibinigay niya sa mga atleta ng Pilipinas bago sila tumulak papuntang Rio Olympics.
“It’s not in the winning, that’s in your drive to strive to win. Pero ‘yung manalo siyempre mas extra happy tayo,” ayon pa kay Duterte.
